Community

Technology can facilitate connection. It can’t manufacture it.

I keep hosting real-world gatherings while building GetNetworked because the best way to understand human connection is to actually put people in rooms together. Community isn’t created when someone joins a platform. It develops through shared experiences, repeated interaction, generosity, trust — and people choosing to show up again.

The rooms are the point. Everything else is logistics.

TECH SERIES

Founders, executives and operators together around the practical business implications of AI. An honest conversation with people who have actually shipped something, then curated networking. The questions that make it good are the unglamorous ones — what did it cost, what broke, what did your team refuse to use.

Professional networking

GetNetworked mixers

Mixers run the way the platform argues events should work: introductions planned rather than left to chance. We use our own software for every one of them, which is the fastest way I know to find out what is still broken in it.

Why it matters

Loneliness is going to be one of the defining problems of a more digital decade.

Technology isn’t inherently the problem. But we need to be far more intentional about using it to lead people toward meaningful human interaction rather than away from it.

That’s a problem I’m interested in spending a long time working on.
